Apprentice Centre of Excellence

In 2024, Suir Engineering launched the Apprentice Centre of Excellence at its Citywest campus, to support apprentices alongside their SOLAS approved training programs. The state-of-the-art facility blends practical and classroom learning, with dedicated trainers and mentors guiding apprentices throughout their four-year training programme.

The centre has capacity to train up to 300 apprentices per year, featuring modern classrooms, fully equipped workshops, and 14 individual cubicles, replicating off-the-job college modules. Additional training includes SOP, Quality, BIM, EHS Awareness, and SPA, along with an induction process before site work and each college phase.

Our team of highly experienced instructors, ensures apprentices receive balanced learning opportunities and coaching. This centre plays a key role in supporting our apprentices’ growth and enhanced career opportunities.

How it works

An apprenticeship with Suir Engineering Ltd. is a joint partnership with Suir Engineering Ltd. and SOLAS.

Apprentices will earn and learn to become qualified in a trade that is internationally recognised. Apprentices will work on leading-edge projects across our sectors to deliver excellence to our global clients.

With an apprenticeship, there are 7 different phases which apprentices are required to complete over 208 weeks. Phases 1,3,5 and 7 are on the job with Suir Engineering Ltd. and phases 2,4 and 6 are college block releases spent with SOLAS.
